STORGAE AND CONVEYING
A process is only as strong as its weakest link.
Blacksmiths equipment for storing and conveying liquids or solids, raw material or finished
products is designed to help you deal with every processing step efficiently, cost-
effectively and hygienically.
1
In a rendering plant for slaughterhouse by-products, storage bins and silos play a critical role in ensuring efficient material handling and process flow. These units are used for the temporary storage of raw materials such as Crushed Bones and offal's ,feathers, blood, MBM, or greaves, as well as finished products like meat meal, feather meal, and tallow. Designed for durability and hygiene, our storage bins and silos are constructed from high-grade carbon steel or stainless steel, with options for insulation, heating jackets, and odor control systems. They are equipped with level sensors, discharge augers, and safety access points to ensure smooth operation, prevent material bridging, and maintain product quality. Available in various capacities and configurations, our solutions are engineered to optimize space, minimize manual handling, and integrate seamlessly with upstream and downstream equipment in the rendering process.

TALLOW, BLOOD, CONDENSATE AND STICKWATER COLLECTION TANKS
In a slaughterhouse by-product rendering facility, various tanks are essential for handling, storing, and processing both raw materials and finished products throughout different stages of the operation. Each tank is purpose-built to support specific processes such as collection, separation, storage, or temperature control. Constructed from durable carbon steel or stainless steel, and often equipped with level sensors, insulation, heating systems, and agitators, these tanks ensure hygienic, efficient, and continuous operation. Proper integration of these tanks improves material flow, enhances energy efficiency, and reduces manual handling, thereby increasing overall plant productivity and safety.
-
Raw Material Receiving Tank – Collects by-products like blood, offal, feathers, etc., from the slaughterhouse.
-
Balance Tank – Maintains consistent feed flow to cookers or presses.
-
Fat Collection Tank – Stores separated tallow, oil, or fat from presses or decanters.
-
Stickwater Tank – Holds liquid by-product (stickwater) before evaporation.
-
Condensate Tank – Collects and stores process steam condensate for reuse or discharge.
-
Finished Product Tank – Stores rendered oils, fats, or other liquid outputs before loading.
-
Intermediate Holding Tank – Temporarily stores semi-processed materials between stages.
-
Blood Storage Tank – Specifically used to store blood for drying or processing.
-
Sludge Holding Tank – Used to hold sludge from wastewater or separation processes.
